Carbon removal is essential, but public awareness is still catching up. We created Misan to help change that. Each can of Misan is carbonated with a small amount of CO₂ captured directly from the air through a technology called Direct Air Capture (DAC).

Where does the CO₂ in carbonated beverages typically come from?

Most commercial food-grade CO₂ is captured as a byproduct of industrial manufacturing; primarily ethanol fermentation, chemical processing like fertilizer (ammonia) production, and natural gas refining, as well as extracted from natural underground gas reservoirs.
How is Misan carbonated using CO₂ that's pulled directly from the air?

Some of the CO₂ that we use to carbonate Misan Lychee is removed from the air by AirMyne, via a technology called Direct Air Capture. You can learn more about AirMyne and the technology they're building at www.airmyne.com.
